How will I get my SWAG Bag of products?   Our event is unique, and so are our goodie bags! Each reusable bag is typically filled with over 20 pounds of brochures and FREE product! Since we have so many generous companies who donate but can not send educators, we will give you your bag completely filled on the first night of Camp to be sure you have the whole weekend to test and use these products before you head back home to the real world. This will let you go back to your cabins that night and start reading product information and play with the product! Make sure you bring room in your suitcase for all this fantastic product and things you may purchase at the trade show!   Back to top ^

I don’t live in where Camp is located, can I come?  Absolutely!  At least 75% of those attending in the past did not live in the area!  We have some wonderful techs who have joined us from the Caribbean, England, Canada and even had an educators join us from Italy, Sweden and the UK! Nail Camp is for nail techs from all over looking for an inexpensive mini vacation where they can learn a ton, meet new friends, enhance their career and enjoy a tax write off. We suggest joining the Nail Camp USA Facebook group to help join up with others flying in to split the cost of a rental car and carpool to the location from the airport.   Back to top ^

What airport should I fly into?   This year camp takes place near Seattle, Washington. You will want to fly to Seatac. Join the Facebook group page to help team up with others who are flying in or driving in to help split costs. Uber and taxis will go to camp, but since its 45 minutes away, try to find someone else to split this cost using the Nail Camp USA Facebook group.

What if I fly in Sunday?  Take advantage of visiting a new place! One of the best parts of Nail Camp is we move it around to locations you may have never visited. The Seattle waterfront is a popular spot for visitor and easily accessible by light rail from the airport area. If you come a day early, you can go enjoy Pike’s Place market and have a coffee at the first Starbucks.   Plan to leave the hotel Monday around 9am so you can be at Nail Camp Registration/Check-In around 10am.    Back to top ^

What if I need to come late or leave early?  Monday afternoon is our big 5 hour hands on workshop and you do not want to miss it!  For many who have attended camp in the past, they have said getting this help and critique on YOUR nails helped them quickly become better Nail Techs in one afternoon.
Check In will close at 11:30am and lunch is served at noon. Please plan to arrive on time, you will want to get your bags to your cabin and set up your table for the afternoon workshop before you head to lunch. a style=”color: #1A1A1A;” href=”#backtotop”>   Back to top ^

Autumn weather is usually in the mid 60s during the day, dropping down to around 50 at night. Be sure to bring a warm hoodie or rain coat in case there is a bit of rain. Boots are always recommended.

How should I dress?  COMFORTABLE!!  With most industry activities, “Dressing for Success” in professional attire is always preferred – not with this event – It’s CAMP.  Put away your makeup, throw your hair in a pony or throw on a cap and just concentrate on nails. We want you to come relaxed, ready to learn and not worry about what will ruin your fancy shoes, what make up you forgot or how much hairspray you put in your hair. Be yourself and just be ready to come have fun.      Back to top ^

How many are expect to attend?  Camp attendance varies year after year. Smaller camps tend to have around 75 people and larger camps back east tend to have closer to 175. With camp back in Washington this year, we expect it to be around 100 in attendance.    Back to top ^

Will I be able to buy snacks or should I bring them?  We have a camp store that will have snacks and treats as well as branded items such as Yeti cups, t-shirts and hats. If there are specific snacks or drinks you would like, we suggest grabbing them on your way to camp. There is a Walmart right on the way about 20 minutes before you get to camp.     Back to top ^

How will I know where everything is at camp?  At check in you will receive a packet of goodies including customized book that is your camp program for the week. It will include a camp map along with cabin assignments, blank note paper, name badges, class schedules, descriptions, educator bios, sponsors and itineraries. Keep the book with you as it’s a great place to take notes in your classes to have for years to come!    Back to top ^

Can I bring my husband or children?   This is your get away! But the answer is no, we want you to get the most out of this experience to enhance your career and that is difficult to do if you are worried about entertaining your husband or children. We also do not have the facility for that kind of set up as you will be in a cabin with a group of other attendees. Some attendees do fly with their husbands, who will stay at a hotel in the biggest city nearby and be a tourist while you are at camp.
Obviously this is perfectly fine, but don’t expect to go hang out with them, you will be busy!!  Back to top ^

How do I choose my roommates?  During registration there is space to “requested roommates.”  If you already know some people you would like to share a cabin with you can enter it there.   At most camps, cabins will sleep approximately 6-8 people. What will be offered if I have a special diet?  Please let us know when you register if you are vegetarian, vegan, have gluten allergies, dairy allergies, or nut allergies.   The camp will help work to accommodate these diets and depending on the complexity. We usually have a fridge in the dining hall, so if you need to bring specific food, that is an option. Plan to meet with the kitchen crew the first meal at lunch. They will announce where special diets need to go to get their meals in the dining hall.   Back to top ^

We can not make adjustments to the price if you want to try to find a hotel or live nearby and want to sleep at home.  The price we pay includes meals and many other facility fees based on the number of attendees. This is also not adjustable if you come early or leave late.   Back to top ^
